Valeria CEREGINI
MISCIA is founded by Valeria Ceregini, an Italian-Irish-based art historian and curator with over a decade of experience in contemporary art. She has curated national and international premieres, focusing on ecology, post-humanism, and trans-cultural dialogues.
Through MISCIA, Valeria aims to create a platform for artists to thrive through mentorship and tailored programmes, connecting creative minds across Europe and beyond.
A cancer survivor with a background as a high school teacher, Valeria has worked with neurodivergent teenagers, fostering empathy and resilience.
She believes in transcending labels and boundaries, seeing her role not just as a curator but as a catalyst for artistic growth. Her work empowers artists to unlock their full potential and engage with the art world in new ways.
Dermot BROWNE
Dermot began his art education in the early 1990s, with the sounds of Post-Punk in the background (shout out to the Ballyfermot posse!) and a new Aikido practice shaping his sense of presence and movement. More than 30 years later, those early passions still guide his approach — each teaching him the value of flow in both art and life.
As a mentor, Dermot brings not only a wealth of experience but also a willingness to share his missteps. He offers grounded, practical support with a level of personal investment and “Skin in the Game”, that’s all too rare in the art world.
His years living in the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Thailand and India have deeply influenced his thinking. He’s particularly interested in embodiment — in how creative energy lives in the body, whether that’s advising on posture and breath work or (trying to) make a perfect risotto.
Dermot believes every artist’s path is unique, and he’s committed to helping others find theirs. He’s excited to see where MISCIA will lead this growing creative community.
Simone BONZANO
Simone began shaping stories with an archaeologist’s curiosity digging into the layers of culture in Middle East, Italy and Germany before returning home in 2017 and trading ancient artifacts for modern design.
As the founder of Just Goat, he’s become a quiet force in visual storytelling, crafting work for galleries and art projects from Italy to Ireland. His academic background it’s the lens he uses to uncover meaning, context, and the hidden narratives in every collaboration.
Whether behind the camera or strategizing a campaign, Simone thrives in the gap between history and innovation.
For Simone, design isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about making them mean something. That’s why he’s stoked to be part of MISCIA, where curiosity and craft collide. Here, he sees a community unafraid to ask, “What happens when art refuses to sit still?”—and he’s ready to help chase the answer.
